Kitchen Hood & Exhaust Cleaning

Kitchen Hood Exhaust Cleaning

in Kansas City

Local fire codes require the cleaning of the accumulated grease within the ducts, hoods, fans and vents of exhaust systems of commercial kitchens and restaurants. Left uncleaned, kitchen exhaust systems eventually accumulate enough grease to become fire hazards.

Exhaust systems must be inspected regularly, at intervals consistent with usage, to determine when cleaning is needed before a dangerous amount of grease has accumulated. Midwest Duct Cleaning offers regular interval cleaning and routine inspections of kitchen exhaust systems to determine the appropriate maintenance schedule of cleaning.

Why should you have your restaurant hoods cleaned regularly?

Grease build-up can obviously lead to fires, resulting in costly damages and downtime. However, grease build-up can also damage your restaurant exhaust system and severely reduce the life-cycle. Commercial kitchen exhaust systems can cost thousands, or even tens of thousands of dollars to replace.

Other issues caused by dirty kitchen exhaust systems include poor ventilation, grease dripping onto food or equipment, and bad odors. Health Inspectors may fine your restaurant or commercial kitchen if they notice these issues.

Very Meticulous

Marlin and Eric came in the morning, after I received an estimate over the phone from the main office, and stayed about 5 hours to complete the job. We have 3 levels, and they were very meticulous about the cleaning, doing a thorough job. I was a little surprised at the amount of time they spent doing the job, but have since learned from some of my friends that faster jobs were done by other companies at their houses, but the work was not done well.
