HVAC System Cleaning Services in Kansas City

A professional HVAC or air duct cleaning job includes the furnace, furnace blower, evaporator coils, supply and return ductwork and registers. Cleaning only part of the system is not effective. A dirty furnace blower, for example, will re-contaminate the air duct system after cleaning. Thus, it is very important to make sure the entire system will be cleaned.

All HVAC systems should be cleaned following NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaning Association) standards. Midwest Duct Cleaning can handle any Kansas City commercial or residential HVAC cleaning needs.

Benefits of Cleaning Your HVAC System

Energy Savings: According to the U.S. Department of Energy, 25 to 40 percent of the energy used for heating or cooling is wasted. Contaminants in the heating and cooling system cause it to work harder and shorten the life of your system.

Indoor Air Quality: Indoor air quality is one concern that building managers, building inhabitants and homeowners have when they decide to investigate their HVAC system. We generate a great deal of contaminants and air pollutants, such as dander, dust, and chemicals.

Extend the Life of Your HVAC System: It’s a big investment to replace your furnace or air conditioner, so extending the life of your HVAC system can save you thousands of dollars. Routine HVAC cleaning service will minimize your system being over-worked.

How do you clean an HVAC system?

The entire system should be placed under negative pressure, through a commercial-grade vacuum with a collection device for safe containment of contaminants prior to disposal. Any vacuum collection device which exhausts indoors must be HEPA (high efficiency particulate absorbing) filtered.

Technicians systematically go to every vent and trunk line using various tools to agitate, loosen and push debris from within the ductwork to the collection device (For example: brushes, air whips and “skipper balls.”)

A professional cleaning job should include the cleaning of the furnace, furnace blower and evaporator coils as well. Read our blog on how often you should clean your HVAC system.

They Did A Great Job

It all happened pretty smoothly. I set up the appointment over the phone, it had to be made about one month ahead because they are busy! The person on the phone asked me about the number of cold air returns and vents and the number of floors. She then gave me an estimate, which turned out to be pretty accurate, considering I had miscounted the vents. On the day of the work, the guys showed up on time and began working, staying busy for about 5 hours. They did a great job.
