Residential Duct Cleaning Process

  • Step 1: The Midwest Duct Cleaning Crew will arrive at your home in a marked vehicle and in uniform.
  • Step 2: A technician will introduce himself, review the services that you have requested, explain the specific cleaning process and do a walkthrough of work areas.
  • Step 3: Technicians will begin to unload the equipment required for your cleaning service. We use some of the most powerful vacuums to ensure proper cleaning.
  • Step 4: We will place protective cloths and corner guards where required to protect your home.
  • Step 5: Technicians will carefully cover necessary vents to improve the negative pressure provided from our vacuum.
  • Step 6: Our 10-inch diameter vacuum hose will then be connected to the main trunk line located near the furnace to collect all debris that is dislodged during the cleaning process.
  • Step 7: The technician will begin cleaning your system from top to bottom using a combination of mechanical brushes and air whips to dislodge the debris from your system, then use high pressured air to push the debris towards the vacuum.
  • Step 8: The technician will provide you the opportunity to look at the inside of your duct work before and after.
  • Step 9: All access points in your ductwork will have a galvanized sheet metal access panel installed over access points. These panels have a foam gasket around them to provide an airtight seal.
  • Step 10: After cleaning, the technician will review the work that was performed, notify you of his findings, and answer any questions you may have.
