Fiberglass material is commonly used to line the internal surfaces on ductwork and many Air Handling Units (AHU’s). Over time, this material is often subject to microbial contamination, air erosion and general deterioration. Midwest offers various solutions including replacement with new insulation, replacement with a durable polymer foam liner, or the application of a repair coating to the existing insulation. An application of a coating material is often the most cost-effective method, providing a new enhanced air stream and locking down loose and deteriorated fibers. All coating products utilized are EPA registered for the use in HVAC systems and contain an anti-microbial agent that retards the growth of microbial contamination.
